Better Smile Foundation welcomes professor Dr. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos to its scientific committee

The Better Smile Foundation is proud to announce the appointment of Professor Dr. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos to its Scientific Committee. A distinguished leader in orthodontics, Dr. Kaklamanos brings a wealth of experience, academic rigor, and clinical excellence to our mission of promoting preventive dental health across communities.

About Dr. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos
Dr. Eleftherios G. Kaklamanos is Associate Professor and Consultant in Orthodontics, currently serving as Vice-President of the European Federation of Orthodontics, Honorary Treasurer of the Balkan Association of Orthodontic Specialists, President of the Greek Orthodontic Society, and Editor-in-Chief of the Hellenic Orthodontic Review.

He earned his Dental Degree and Master of Science in Orthodontics from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and holds a Master of Arts in Healthcare Management from the Open University of Cyprus. He also holds a Certificate in Preventive and Community Dentistry and completed his PhD at the Department of Histology and Embryology, Faculty of Medicine, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, focusing on mandibular condyle development.

Dr. Kaklamanos’ research spans craniofacial skeletal development, clinical procedure evaluation, evidence-based dentistry, and patient-centered outcomes. He has published over 80 scientific papers, received more than 1,000 citations (H-index: 18), and presented over 110 abstracts in conferences and seminars worldwide. He has supervised 31+ MSc theses and serves as a reviewer for several journals.

Recognized as valedictorian of his graduating class, Dr. Kaklamanos has received numerous honors and awards from the American Association of Orthodontists, the Alexander S. Onassis Foundation, and other prestigious institutions. In 2020, he received the Riyad Bayoumi Research Excellence Award and was appointed as an American Association of Orthodontists Ambassador in 2021.
